The class started playing the
“hot potato”. First Ss passed a ball when the music stopped, Ss had to take a
picture and pasted on the tree. Second, Ss had to pass two balls and they had
to do the same. Finally, T looked for other S to do the activity.
In this
activity, T Abi asked if Ss knew about the topic. After that she pasted on the
board the correct spelling of the vocabulary (mother, father, brother,
sister, grandmother, grandfather, aunt and uncle). Also, T practiced the pronunciation. Then she
removed the first picture and the Ss had to remeber it. Then, T removed the
next until she
removed all of them and Ss had to remember all the words.
T put some object on the desk with the correct spelling. After that, when the teacher said “sister” S have to run and took the object.
Ss worked
individually. The T gave envelope to each one with scramble words. Ss were
sitting on the floor. T said a word about the previous vocabulary and Ss had to
form the word. The S who finished first S got a point.
Finally, T pasted
on the board a pictures about cartoons but Ss could not see. Each of them had
to choose two numbers if the pictures were pairs S got a point.
Note: It was a great class. Hazel and Aby did good activities. I saw all students enjoyed the class. But, they have to improve the flashcards because Ss got confused.
