Class 9 - Wednesday, September 23th/2015 Fernando

Topic: Insects life! (Vocabulary)


 













At the beggining of the class, T asked them if they  remember the previous topic. Then T asked them to stand up and changed the place that they were. Ss had to look for a paper under the desk. Each Ss passed to the board to match the words with the pictures. T asked them if all were correct and they pasted in the correct place. Then, Ss practiced the pronunciation of each insect. Wasp, mosquito, ladybug, grasshopper, ant, bee, butterfly, beetle, cockroach. 





In the next activity, T introduced the question “what color is it?”  T asked to the color of the insect. Then, he present the next question “what is your favorite insect?” S answered one by one. Last question that T showed was “what insect don’t you like? Ss answered to this question.

 



















Ss stand up and T gave a paper with the name of the insect. Ss had to ask each other what is your favorite insect? Then, T gave the possible answered to the previous questions and practiced.



















Ss played a game. S who was in the middle had to mention another insect’s name and if the students who had they name did not mention. S passed in the middle and said another name.































T introduced the new vocabulary and to Ss if they knew how do you say “alas, antenas y piernas” and English. T wrote the correct spelling and pronunciation. Then, T asked the question “how many leg have the cockroach? And Ss answered.


























After that, T gave a worksheet. Ss completed it. They shared the answers with everybody.























In this stages, Ss stand up and made two groups and lines. An S represented to each group. T said a word to Ss and they had to give some clues to other Ss and they had to guess. The first group that had more point was the winner.
 
 
 






Note: This class was good. The relationship T-S was fine. Ss enyojed all the activities.Also, they learned new vocabulary, it was nice.
