Topic: "Proverbs" ( Reading)
At
the beginning of the class, students played "Broken Telephone",
students made two lines. Then, T Geos and Gio showed a proverbs and students passed
the phrase by whispering it to the next person, the last person that got the
complete phrase wrote the complete sentence on the board. At the end the group
that had the correct phrase got a point.
In
the next stage, using the title of the article “Proverbs”. T Karla asked to ss What word come to your mind when you read the
word “Proverb”?. After, some word of the new vocabulary pasted on the board. T Karla R. explained the meaning. Two volunteers passed to the front and put in
the correct order.
T
gave Pieces of paper with parts of proverbs to Ss. Students read and looked for
the other part. In pairs students read the proverbs and said what it means.
Students shared the meaning to everybody.
T
gave a worksheet about an article about proverbs. T. chose some students to
read the text paragraph by paragraph. The second worksheet, Ss answered some
questions related to the article, and matching vocabulary words with their
meanings.
In
the last stage, Students made pairs and chose a piece of paper which contained
a proverb. Then, students received a blank page, where they represented the
proverb by a drawing and when the students finished the drawing, they presented
it to the other groups in order to guess the proverb.Note: I really liked our class because we developed all of the stage good. we worked hard for it. We managed the time good. We had some problems with the tape, but we solved in the moment. As group, we felt happy.
